Our Churches
The Arle Valley Benefice is a family of four Church of England churches, covering the communities of New Alresford, Old Alresford, Ovington and Bighton.

St. John's stands in the centre of New Alresford and has been the Parish Church of the town since 1851. The church building and the adjoining John Pearson Hall plays host to community and civic events as well as being a focus for Christian worship in the town.

The present Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Old Alresford, constructed of brick and flint dates from the 18th century. The Church appears in the Doomsday census and there is much to suggest that there was a place of worship on the site from the 9th century. |

St. Peter's is a 150 year old Victorian construction with flint walls and a distinctive oak bell tower with a spire. It is situated alongside the site of the original 13th century church of which the west arch remains. |

There has been a place of worship on the site of All Saints since the 10th century. The first record of a church in Bighton is in the Domesday Book, but is quite certain there was a church here very many years before the Norman Conquest. |
