Growing in Faith

Everyday Faith

Our daily lives are often very full. Full of things to do. Full of meetings and deadlines. Full of places to be. Full of people to meet. For some, they may be full of time on our hands. Full of hopes we would like to fulfil. Full of things we don’t want to face. Where is God during our daily lives? How do we find God in the fullness of everyday life?

EverydayFaith Logo Colour RGBWe are probably all aware that being followers of Jesus isn’t confined to church activities. Most of us will pray or think about our faith at some point during our waking or working day. The Everyday Faith reflections, stories and prayers are offered to help us discover more about what it means to live faithfully, hopefully, and lovingly as Christians today. As Archbishop Justin Welby says in his introduction, “God sends us as God’s church to live out our faith in a variety of places and to share the hope and love we have with the people we meet in everyday life.”

Everyday Faith offers bitesize, yet in-depth, resources on topics relevant to you, that will help you help find and follow God in everyday life.  These resources will inspire, equip and encourage you in your everyday faith, whoever you are and wherever this is.

Pilgrim

PilgrimLongLogoHiRes-1024x307We’ve spent a little time looking at study material for those who are interested in learning more about Christian faith. One of the best we’ve come across is the Pilgrim Way course. It’s available as a series of eight books, the first four being aimed at someone who is just starting out in faith, the next four being aimed at people who have already made the first step, but want to know more.

You can watch the course on the Pilgrim YouTube channel or buy these books individually or in sets on the Pilgrim Course website

If you prefer, there’s a shorter version comprising four webpages written by the same people called the Pilgrim Way. Each has a more detailed page supporting it, and they are all available at the Church of England’s website in a section on Our Faith.
