Our Vision

We seek to be a welcoming, thriving and growing Christian family, working to discern God’s vision for us whilst witnessing to, and living out, Christ’s message in our community with a relevance that resonates in the 21st Century.

What we believe

Belief in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit is at the heart of our faith.

Christians believe that Jesus is God’s Son.

Jesus reveals to us that God is our Father, and that God is available to us through the Holy Spirit.

You won’t ever be asked if you completely understand all this. But you are asked whether you believe and trust. This is called faith. It is a different sort of knowledge. It is the knowledge of being known and loved, and of loving in return.

The Christian faith is not a human invention. There are signs of God’s existence and handiwork in creation for anyone to read (Acts 14.15–17). But we believe in the way we do because God has come to seek us out and has made himself known to us.

We believe and trust in one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit

The Churches in this Benefice exist to honour and worship God by being an open and inclusive Church that welcomes all people to question and discover for themselves the significance of Jesus Christ in their lives.

We believe we should share the good news about Jesus, equip people in their faith journey and see them live out their faith in the world. We welcome all people to our churches, whatever your belief, background or orientation.
  • Our churches are a safe space to explore your relationship with God.
  • We are a community, with a focus on God's love for each of us and what that means for our every day lives.
  • Our churches are places to worship, support, grow and love God.
  • We aim to teach and equip in a way that enables everyone to live out the Gospel mission: to be Christ's light to the world.

The Church of England provides a Christian presence in every community.
